Meatball Skewers

Meatball skewers are a creative and fun way to serve simple meatballs. Here is the recipe to prepare delicious meatball skewers.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground meat (beef, pork or a combination of the two)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 50g grated Parmesan
  • Chopped parsley to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Wooden skewers

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, chopped garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Divide the mixture into small portions and form round meatballs, trying to make them uniform in size.
  4. Soak the wooden skewers in cold water for about 20 minutes to prevent them from burning during cooking.
  5. Thread 3 or 4 meatballs onto each wooden skewer, leaving a little space between each to ensure even cooking.
  6. Heat a grill or a pan and lightly grease it with olive oil.
  7. Cook the meatball skewers, turning them frequently, until they are nicely golden and cooked to the desired doneness (about 8-10 minutes).
  8. Serve them hot, perhaps with a side of grilled vegetables or a sauce of your choice.
