Tiramisu with Melon and Yogurt

Here’s the recipe for a Tiramisu with melon and yogurt, a summer and lighter variant of the classic tiramisu. This version is ideal for those looking for a refreshing and less rich dessert.

Ingredients

  • 250 g Greek yogurt
  • 200 g ladyfingers (or similar cookies)
  • 1 ripe melon
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for decoration
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Start by preparing the yogurt cream: in a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with the powdered sugar until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. If you want a softer consistency, you could add a bit of whipped cream.
  2. Peel the melon, remove the seeds and cut it into small cubes. You can set aside some cubes for the final garnish.
  3. Season the melon cubes with lemon juice; this will help enhance its flavor and prevent oxidation.
  4. Set aside some whole ladyfingers for decoration and crumble others into smaller pieces for the various layers.
  5. Assemble the tiramisu in transparent glasses or in a baking dish: create the first layer with the crumbled ladyfingers, cover with part of the yogurt cream, and then distribute a layer of melon cubes.
  6. Repeat the layers until the glasses or baking dish are filled, finishing with the yogurt cream.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  8. Before serving, dust the surface with a little unsweetened cocoa and decorate with the reserved melon cubes, the whole ladyfingers and, if desired, some fresh mint leaves.

This tiramisu variant is coffee-free and egg-free, so it is also suitable for those following special diets or for children. The addition of melon makes it pleasantly fresh and aromatic, perfect for summer. The use of Greek yogurt, moreover, gives the dessert a creamy texture and a tangy note that pairs beautifully with the sweetness of the fruit.
