Water Muffins
17/11/2023Water muffins are a lighter variant of classic muffins. Perfect for those who are lactose intolerant or for those who want to reduce their fat intake. Here is a simple recipe to make them.
Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
 - 150 g of sugar
 - 1 packet of baking powder
 - 100 ml of seed oil
 - 200 ml of water
 - 1 pinch of salt
 - Flavoring of choice (vanilla, lemon or orange zest, etc.)
 - (Optional) Add-ins such as chocolate chips, nuts, or blueberries
 
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
 - In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
 - Add the oil and mix until you have a sandy mixture.
 - Pour in the water and chosen flavoring, mix until the batter is smooth and without lumps.
 - If you want, you can now add extra ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts.
 - Fill the muffin cups to about 2/3 of their height.
 - Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.
 - Let the muffins cool for a few minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to complete cooling.

This is a versatile recipe and lends itself to many variations. If you want an Italian touch, you can add grated organic lemon zest or toasted and chopped almonds to our recipe for a crunchy touch.
