Baked Lemon Ricotta

Baked lemon ricotta is a simple and delicious dish, with a fresh and slightly tangy taste. Here’s how to prepare it:

Ingredients

  • 500 g fresh ricotta
  • The grated zest of 1 lemon (untreated)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (you can adjust the quantity to your taste)
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt
  • Butter and breadcrumbs (for the pan)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ricotta with the grated lemon zest, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to blend the ingredients.
  3. Add the egg to the mixture and continue mixing until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.
  4. Take a small baking pan and grease it with a little butter, then sprinkle it with breadcrumbs to prevent the ricotta from sticking.
  5. Pour the ricotta mixture into the pan and level it with a spatula or a spoon.
  6. Bake the ricotta for about 25-30 minutes, or until the surface is golden and slightly crispy.
  7. Once ready, let the baked lemon ricotta cool before serving. You can enjoy it warm or, if you prefer, after resting in the refrigerator.
