Gnocchi with Gorgonzola
17/11/2023Gorgonzola gnocchi are a creamy and enveloping dish, perfect for those who love the intense flavors of cheese. Here is the recipe to prepare this delicious Italian dish:
Ingredients
- 1 kg of potato gnocchi
- 200 g of sweet gorgonzola
- 200 ml of cooking cream
- Nutmeg (to taste)
- Salt (as needed)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Grated Parmesan (to taste)
- Butter (a knob for the baking dish)
Preparation
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil to cook the gnocchi.
-
Meanwhile, cut the gorgonzola into cubes and place it in a pan with the cooking cream over medium heat. Let the cheese melt slowly, stirring with a wooden spoon.
-
When the gorgonzola is completely melted and the sauce is homogeneous, add a grating of nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.
-
Once the water reaches a boil, cook the gnocchi following the instructions on the package or until they float to the surface, a sign that they are cooked.
-
Drain the gnocchi and transfer them to the pan with the gorgonzola sauce. Turn on the heat and stir gently to combine the gnocchi with the sauce.
-
Serve immediately with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan on top.
If you want to add a crunchy touch, you can gratinate the gnocchi in the oven: spread them in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with Parmesan and place in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 5-10 minutes or until the surface becomes golden.
Trivia
