Baked Gorgonzola Pasta Gratin

Ingredients
- 350 g short pasta (penne, rigatoni, or fusilli)
- 200 g sweet gorgonzola
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 50 g grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
- Breadcrumbs to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a baking dish with a little butter and sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cut the gorgonzola into pieces and place it in a pan over low heat with the cream, stirring until the gorgonzola has completely melted and the sauce is smooth. Adjust salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the gorgonzola sauce and mix well to distribute the sauce evenly.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, sprinkle the grated parmesan over the top, and, if you want a crispier crust, add an extra layer of breadcrumbs.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the surface is golden and crispy.
- Let the baked pasta rest for a few minutes before serving.
