Baked Prawns

Here is a simple and tasty recipe for making baked prawns, a dish that brings with it the taste of the sea and that can be served both as an appetizer and as a main course.

Ingredients

  • 800 grams of prawns
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Fresh parsley to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Dry white wine (optional, about 100 ml)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  2. Clean the prawns, removing the head and shell leaving only the tail. Remove the black intestinal vein by making an incision on the back with a small knife.
  3. In a baking dish, arrange the cleaned prawns and slightly open their flesh.
  4. In a bowl, prepare a marinade with extra virgin olive oil, finely chopped garlic, chopped fresh parsley, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. If you want to add a wine note, also incorporate the white wine.
  5. Pour the marinade over the prawns making sure it is well distributed.
  6. Let the marinated prawns rest for about 10-15 minutes so they absorb the flavors.
  7. Bake the prawns and cook them for about 10-12 minutes or until they turn a nice pink color and are lightly golden.
  8. Once ready, remove the prawns from the oven and serve immediately, accompanied by lemon wedges for those who wish to add an extra touch of acidity.
