Chicken Drumsticks with Mustard and Bacon

Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 100 g bacon slices
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Prepare a marinade by mixing the two types of mustard with the extra virgin olive oil, finely chopped garlic, chopped rosemary (if fresh) and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Brush the chicken drumsticks with the prepared marinade, making sure it is well distributed over the entire surface.
- Wrap each drumstick with one or two slices of bacon, depending on the size, ensuring they adhere well.
- Arrange the chicken drumsticks in a baking dish and pour the white wine on the bottom of the dish.
- Bake and cook for about 45 minutes or until the chicken is well golden and crispy. During cooking, baste the drumsticks occasionally with the cooking juices.
- Once ready, remove the chicken drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
For a more Italian touch, you could accompany them with a side of oven-baked potatoes flavored with rosemary and sage.
