Chocolate and Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g chopped almonds
  • 100 g chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, place the softened butter and sugar, then work the ingredients until you obtain a creamy mixture.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing to combine well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and the pinch of salt.
  5. Incorporate the flour mixture into the butter and egg mixture, a little at a time, mixing until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  6. Add the chopped almonds and chocolate chips to the dough and mix to distribute evenly.
  7. Take small portions of dough and form balls, then flatten them slightly and place them on the baking tray leaving a bit of space between one cookie and another.
  8. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden at the edges.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
