Creamy Chicken Breast
17/11/2023Here is a recipe for a delicious creamy chicken breast with an Italian twist.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 200 ml of cooking cream
- 50 ml of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- 30 g of grated parmesan
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Preparation
- Start by salting and peppering the chicken breasts on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan large enough to hold the chicken and brown the chicken on both sides until golden. It will take about 3-4 minutes per side. Once cooked, remove the chicken and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the crushed garlic clove and let it brown for a minute.
- Add the cooking cream, chicken broth and Dijon mustard, stirring to combine everything over medium heat.
- Return the chicken breasts to the pan with the sauce and let them cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce starts to thicken.
- Off the heat, add the grated parmesan and stir until it melts into the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, before serving.
To give it an even more Italian touch, you could add aromatic herbs like rosemary or oregano during the chicken cooking, or serve with a sprinkle of fresh basil at the end of cooking.
