Grilled Salmon

Grilled salmon is a simple, healthy and tasty dish. Here is a recipe to make it:

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon portions (about 150-200 g each)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Aromatic herbs to taste (dill, parsley, thyme)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high temperature.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the olive oil with the chopped garlic, lemon juice, aromatic herbs, salt and pepper.

  3. Brush the salmon portions with the marinade.

  4. When the grill is hot, lightly grease the grill with oil to prevent the salmon from sticking.

  5. Place the salmon portions on the grill skin-side down and cook for about 3-4 minutes, then carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the fish is cooked to your liking (the flesh should flake easily with a fork).

  6. Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Serve hot, with an additional squeeze of lemon juice and garnish with fresh aromatic herbs. Grilled salmon is excellent accompanied by fresh salads, grilled vegetables or plain rice. Enjoy your meal!
