Potato and Sausage Pie

Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 500 g fresh sausage
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 150 g mozzarella
- 50 g grated Parmesan
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml milk
- Nutmeg to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for the baking dish
- Breadcrumbs for the baking dish

Prepare the potatoes: peel and slice them thinly. Soak in cold water to remove excess starch, then drain well.

In a skillet, sauté the chopped garlic and sliced onion in extra virgin olive oil. Add the crumbled sausage and cook until nicely browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Grease a baking dish with a little butter, then sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs.

Begin assembling the pie by alternating layers of potatoes and sausage until all ingredients are used. Occasionally, sprinkle with diced mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
