Square Puff Pastry Pizzettes

Ingredients
- 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry
- 200 g of tomato passata
- 150 g of pizza mozzarella (or other cheese to taste)
- Dried oregano
- Salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Additional ingredients to taste: anchovies, capers, olives, mushrooms, cured meats, etc.
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- Unroll the puff pastry and, with a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the pastry into squares of the desired size.
- Place the puff pastry squares on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Using a spoon, spread a little tomato passata over the surface of each square, leaving a small border free to prevent the tomato from spilling out during baking.
- Add a pinch of salt and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil over the tomato passata.
- Sprinkle the pizzettes with dried oregano to taste.
- Dice the mozzarella into small cubes and distribute it evenly over the pizzettes.
- Add any other ingredients you prefer such as anchovies, capers, olives, etc.
- Bake the pizzettes for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy and the cheese is nicely melted.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
