Stir-Fried Rice with Tuna
17/11/2023Here is a recipe to prepare stir-fried rice with tuna with an Italian touch:
Ingredients
- 200 g of rice
- 150 g of tuna in oil
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley
- (Optional) Cherry tomatoes
- (Optional) Pitted black olives
- (Optional) Capers
Preparation
- Cook the rice in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions. Drain it al dente and rinse under cold running water to stop the cooking.
- In a large pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil with the peeled garlic clove and lightly brown it.
- Remove the garlic and add the drained tuna. Let it flavor for a minute.
- Add the rice to the pan and stir-fry everything over high heat, mixing well to combine the flavors.
- If desired, you can add halved cherry tomatoes, olives, and capers at this stage.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste and, if you like, some fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve the rice hot.
