Sweet Cocoa Pizza
17/11/2023Sweet cocoa pizza is an interesting variation on the theme of pizza, transforming it into a dish suitable for the end of the meal or for an original and indulgent snack. Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
- 250 g of 00 flour
- 15 g of fresh brewer’s yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 130 ml of lukewarm water
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- Nutella or other chocolate spread for garnish
- Fresh fruit to taste (banana, strawberries, etc.)
- Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Preparation
- Start by mixing the flour with the sifted cocoa powder in a large bowl.
- Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and add the sugar and the pinch of salt.
- Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the water and yeast mixture. Start kneading, adding the extra virgin olive oil in a stream.
- Knead the dough until you get a smooth and elastic ball, then cover it with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in volume.
- Roll out the risen dough on a lightly oiled baking tray, creating a disk half a centimeter thick.
- Bake the pizza base in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15-20 minutes.
- Once baked and still warm, spread a generous layer of Nutella or your favorite chocolate cream.
- Decorate with fresh fruit of your choice such as sliced bananas or sliced strawberries.
- If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
