Yogurt Cake with Chocolate Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 jar of plain yogurt (125g) (use the empty jar as a measuring cup)
  • 3 jars of flour
  • 2 jars of sugar
  • 1 jar of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanillin (or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
  • 150 g of chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease and flour a cake pan (or line it with parchment paper).
  2. In a large bowl, crack the eggs and add the sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until you obtain a light and fluffy mixture.
  3. Add the yogurt and oil, mixing gently with a spoon or spatula.
  4. In another bowl, combine the sifted flour with the baking powder, vanillin, and pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring well to avoid lumps.
  6. To prevent the chocolate chips from sinking to the bottom during baking, toss them briefly in flour, then fold them into the batter, mixing gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level the surface with a spatula.
