Ingredients
- 400 g fresh trofie
- 200 g fiordilatte mozzarella
- 200 ml béchamel
- 100 g cooked ham
- 50 g grated Parmesan
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Nutmeg to taste
- Butter for greasing
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the trofie until al dente.
- Meanwhile, thinly slice the mozzarella and cut the cooked ham into cubes.
- Once cooked, drain the trofie and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the cooked ham, mozzarella, a bit of salt, pepper and a sprinkle of nutmeg to the bowl with the trofie.
- Pour in the béchamel and mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Grease a baking dish with a little butter and transfer the trofie mixture to the dish, leveling it evenly.
- Sprinkle the surface with grated Parmesan.
- Bake the trofie and cook for about 20 minutes or until the surface is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
