Ingredients
- 200 g 00 flour
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g softened butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 packet vanillin or one teaspoon vanilla extract
- 150 g chocolate chips
- 100 ml milk
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar using an electric whisk or by hand until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat the mixture.
- Incorporate the pinch of salt and the vanillin or vanilla extract.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and gradually add it to the mixture, alternating with the milk, until you obtain a smooth batter without lumps.
- Add the chocolate chips to the batter. To prevent the chips from sinking to the bottom during baking, you can lightly flour them before mixing them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into a cake pan that has been previously buttered and floured, or lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
