Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g 00 flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g softened butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet vanillin or one teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 g chocolate chips
  • 100 ml milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar using an electric whisk or by hand until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat the mixture.
  4. Incorporate the pinch of salt and the vanillin or vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour with the baking powder and gradually add it to the mixture, alternating with the milk, until you obtain a smooth batter without lumps.
  6. Add the chocolate chips to the batter. To prevent the chips from sinking to the bottom during baking, you can lightly flour them before mixing them into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into a cake pan that has been previously buttered and floured, or lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
