Yogurt Truffles

Yogurt truffles are fresh and delicious treats, very simple to prepare. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 250 g Greek yogurt (or thick white yogurt)
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 200 g dry cookies (such as Digestive)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder as needed to roll the truffles
  • Flavoring of your choice (vanilla, lemon, orange, etc.)
  • Chopped dried fruit or chocolate chips for the dough (optional)

Preparation

  1. Start by finely crushing the dry cookies until you get a kind of flour; you can do this with a mixer or by putting them in a bag and rolling over them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with the powdered sugar and the chosen flavoring until you get a homogeneous cream.
  3. Add the crushed cookies to the yogurt cream and mix well to combine. If you like, you can also add chopped dried fruit or chocolate chips to give it an extra touch.
  4. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, so that it hardens and is easier to handle.
  5. After the resting time, use a teaspoon to scoop portions of the dough and form balls with your hands.
  6. Roll the balls in unsweetened cocoa powder until evenly coated.
  7. Arrange the truffles on a plate or tray and refrigerate for at least another hour before serving.
